David qualified from University College Dublin in 2003, before travelling to New York where he worked for four years in equine practice. Subsequently returning to Ireland he established his own practice, focusing on imaging and treatment of equine athletes. In 2016, David completed his equine surgery residency in his alma mater, successfully becoming a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons the following year. His scientific publications cover topics ranging from joint surgery to the use of ultrasound to improve injection accuracy in cervical facet joints and the sacroiliac region. Since his residency David has led the team at two U.K. Equine clinics and was appointed as Senior Lecturer in Equine Surgery at the University of Liverpool in 2018. David remains passionate about treating the equine athlete.
